PBS 2-hour program, the mind-body connection
 

If you didn't see this program last night, you might find it interesting. There was a segment in it showing an interview of a patient describing her experience as newly diagnosed with bc and her first appointment with an oncologist. There are enough current threads on the board here alone describing the problems people have had about this topic that I do think it would be worth the cost of getting a copy of the program to give to anyone who is newly diagnosed.

Another interesting aspect of the program is that Dr. Jerome Groopman, an oncologist who wrote The Anatomy of Hope (a book about his own experiences), was interviewed briefly.

The commentary by Dana Reeve was priceless as well. What an outstanding human being and fine example she gave, in a world where it sometimes seems impossible to find that kind of leadership.
