treatment for skin mets?
 

Hello all

I was recently dx with mets to liver and skin over my reconstruction site. I've been on weekly herceptin and navelbine for a month now and my skin is slowly looking worse. Has this happened to anyone? What meds will be next? Oh, I'm also IBC.

Hi and welcome! If by IBC you mean Inflammatory Breast Cancer, there are several on this site with this type and I'm sure they will post with their treatment regimens...I have a friend at my treatment center with IBC who could not tolerate Navelbine, so moved on to Gemzar/Herceptin with very good results for over a year. Previously she was on Xeloda/Herceptin for quite some time. She has had good results from these chemos with few side effects other than tiredness, which is manageable. So hang in there, if Navelbine isn't working well enough there are many other ones to try.
