To the ladies on Abraxane -
 

I know that there are a few of us here that have been on Abraxane and I was wondering how you were doing.I believe we all started at about the same time which has been about 6 to 7 months now.

Just wondered if working for you and if you are still on it.

I have been on since last July and really do not know how long I will need to take. I am checking my tumor markers again next week to see if they are maintaining or dropping.

I only had 4 treatments with Abraxane. I did very well with it.

I had 4 dose dense AC, then 4 dose dense Abraxane the started my Herceptin.

I have been on Abraxane, Herceptin, and Zometa since April 2005. Previous chest CT scans show stable lung tumors but I still have radiation pnuminitis. The greratest side effect form Abraxane is servere neuropathy on hand and feet. Also have bouts of diharrea and cramping. Despite all these side effects I will stay on Abraxane because I have failed 7 chemos before this. Onc has lowered dose of Abraxane previously. Next scans are next month I will update you. Hope
