Great people
At the Genentech company reception in San Antonio we were very well treated. And the employees we met at the reception were ALL so interested in meeting a group of stage IV breast cancer survivors! Many of them had worked there for several years in research - the marketing folks seemed a little newer and one man was very new to the company but you could see how happy he was written all over him.
The researchers don't get the chance to meet many patients and were expecially interested to meet Ginger, maintaining for over 10 years on Herceptin, and Christine over 6 years. The general attitude of being happy with their work was universally voiced by the Genentech folks. I even overheard a couple of women saying how they got what they needed for a project without a lot of fuss. |
