MUGA scan: rest? or Exercise?
 

My oncologist ordered a exercise MUGA this time. Past 3 times it was rest MUGA. I am really wondering how he is going to compare this with the previous one as the results might be different for both the procedures. What kind of MUGA do you usually get while on Herceptin?

I have only had 2 MUGA's but both were while lying flat and very still. I have never heard of the exercise MUGA, and hope to learn more about it from your threads. How did the results turn out? I would appreciate any info as I will probably have another MUGA in about 2 months, since the last one had dropped from 58 to 37 and the onc took me off herceptin. Thanks for your post. Hugs, Tricia

I have never heard of a MUGA done with excersise, only a stress test?? I have had alot of MUGA's, always done laying flat and staying still. let me know what you find out ??

It happened to be a mistake in the scheduling. I said I would go for the appointment only if I get a clarification from the doctor and he called me back to say exercise MUGA is not required and rest MUGA is enough. Thanks for your responses.
