What is coq10 ??
 
I've read a lot about coq10. on these posts. Is it a nutritional supplement ??

Hi Carol..COq10 is coenzyme Q10 it is a supplement that many of us take for the heart benefits.. you could check out different links on the internet to find out more.. nationalcancerinstitute.com has information on coq10.

It is a strong antioxidant and protects cells from damage. It may not be a good idea to take CoQ10 if you are also having certain types of cytotoxic chemo - as it may actually help protect the cells the chemo is meant to be killing.

It can also have a few side effects if taken in high doses.

If you take any supplements, good advice is to tell your Onc in advance, just in case.
