Dr. Andrew Weil
I found this to be an interesting question/answer discussion and was wondering if anyone else knows of or reads his work?

Dr. Weil
I do, and I think he comes closer than most of the better-known dietary spokespersons to pointing toward better health. I have his book "Eating Well for Optimum Health" as well as a used videotape of his. As a side note, the book was also rather entertaining reading. (He can write and think and laugh at the same time and I enjoyed that.)

I get his daily tip via email every day. You can't do everything but it is enjoyable to read. He also (sometimes) includes a healthy recipe that is easy to make - like Chinese green bean salad etc. What is nice is that sometimes eating healthy can be boring and you need the recipes to liven things up. His website is full of healthy recipes and tips.

Yes Rhonda, I am quite familiar with Dr. Weil and his works. I originally read his Spontaneous Healing book many years ago and I own his 8 Weeks to Optimum Health.
He is consider the premier integrative medicine experts in the country and has graced the cover of Time magazine more than once. I find his advice to be sensible and easy to integrate into my life. I particularly pay attention to his knowledge of supplements and herbs...like maitake for cancer patients. There always seem to be good data to back up his recommendations. Ginagce |
