hypertension
 

Has anyone developed hypertension during Chemo? My diastolic number crept up into the 90's while on taxol/herceptin (steriods, benydryl, etc) and has not come back down. I've been off taxol for 2 months and onc thought it would have come down by now. Thinks perhaps I should go on low dose bp meds. Can anyone tell me if they experienced this and what treatment if any, or did bp come back down eventually. Problem not related to herceptin.

Hi:

Actually I had the opposite problem. I developed severe hypotension and had to drop of my medicine for Hypertension. Even off the medicine I was at the point where the oncologist considered IVs to increase my blood pressure. This occurred both when I was on A/C and Taxol. I have gone back on my blood pressure medcine while on Herceptin as my body returned to it's previous state.
