how often does everyone get Herceptin?
 

I have been on Herceptin for a little over a year, I go every week. My doctor wants to change it to every two weeks starting the end of the month. My husband thinks if it is working why change anything...anyone else getting Herceptin every two weeks..

I am getting it every 3 weeks but a woman at the Cancer center I go to gets it every other week (so it is done that way).

I get herceptin every two weeks. I did dose dense chemo every two weeks so when they started herceptin I got it every two also and they have just kept it that way. I have not had any trouble with this routine.

I am getting it every 3 weeks, originally was told I would be getting it once a week then was told studies showed every 3 weeks had the same effect and my appointments were changed accordingly .Maryanne

It's Either/Or
 

They gave me a choice - weekly for a year - or every three weeks for a year - both at a 30 minute infusion. Since I live further away from treatment I took the every three week option. Halfway done now - will finish up at the end of April. My onc said - makes no difference weekly or every three weeks.

Every 3 weeks for about 2 1/2 years now.

I've gotten it weekly and 3 weekly, and it made no difference in terms of side effects, but the infusion time was longer(1 hour) with the 3 weekly as opposed to 1/2 hour with the weekly.
