Synergy with celebrex and anti-histamines

After reading the attached abstract : http://clincancerres.aacrjournals.or...act/11/19/6807
I think that anti-histamines may have a synergistic effect with cox 2 inhibitors such as celebrex. Comments?????????

This article is way over my head, but I was told to stop Celebrex with Herceptin due to the concerns for heart health with both.

I think Celebrex took a hit with heart concerns due to Vioxx publicity, but I was willing to stop the Celebrex for Herceptin.

The celebrex dosage used in that study was 400 mg 2 x day and the usual dosage for most people is 100 mg 2 X day; that is 1/4 of the dose cited in the study. Celebrex is a COX2 inhibitor which will work synergistically with HER2 treatments and also mitigate pro-cancer effects of morphine related drugs. Taking celebrex may be "playing the odds" however it is a personal decision we must face. I wonder if CO-Q10 helps reduce these effects?
Linda was given the warning about celebrex by her oncs and she opted to continue....given the available infomation. As well, celebrex is still on the market...

Celebrex and Question for Al

Al:

I am not sure what you meant when you said "I wonder of CO-Q10 helps reduce these effects." Do you mean that CO-Q10 may offset the good affect of Celebrex?

I am Stage 11B and in my second year of Herceptin and I take 200 mg of Celebrex twice a day and I also take CO-Q10. Do you think I should not take the CO-Q10?

Al was probably wondering if CoQ10 might reduce/protect against any heart related side effects associated with Herceptin and or Celebrex.

Thanks kk1, that's what I meant and apologies for not making myself more clear.
