Green Tea, Turmeric, Lianans, Melatonin, Weight, Alcohol, Soy

This past week, USA Weekend published an article, "Edgy Advice on Breast Cancer," which addresses all-natural preventions, but also speaks to their effectiveness for women with breast cancer.

Go to www.usaweekend.com, and scroll down to the breast cancer article of this titile.

Great info!

Barbara,
It does seem that there is a great deal of evidence to support the advice in this article. Personally, I have incorporated much of this into my lifestyle.

Soy and Flax good for breast cancer?

I thought soy and flaxseed were contraindicated if ER+, I am really confused, not that is anything new, LOL. Or is it only helpful as a preventative?

I know that soy is and I believe one needs to be careful about flaxseed as well. Sandy

That is if one is ER/PR positive. I am negative on both so I don't worry about it. I don't like soy so don't use it but I do use flaxseed. Sandy

question..suppliments and chemo

HI everyone and anyone,
I was told by my onc and my radiation onc that I should
NOT take any suppliments during treatment due to it
blocking the effect of the radiation and chemo desired result
of killing cancer cells. The antioxidents would block the
chemo to a degree.
But after treatment I will take everything I can...
The first time I had cancer I took all kinds of antioxidants,
this time I am going without.
Any input??
I am hormone neg so it doesnt matter about soy, I would like
to take phytoestrogen but not sure if i should or not.
Thanks, Nancy Love
