Hi: I just had my first chemo treatment: Taxotere/Carboplatin with Herceptin. I had no side effects the first four days but then on the fifth day I developed sores on my scalp! The doctor thinks this might be related to my white blood count which dropped dramatically even though I got a shot of Neulasta. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? I haven't lost my hair yet.

I have the same chemo combination and had my 3rd cycle. I remember having a lot of scalp itch after the 1st week as well as tension headache. My onc nurse said it's probably because of my reaction to the drug and the hair follicles and that i would eventually be losing my hair. Hair started to fall on the second/ third week.
