I have been off all treament for a month. I just went back on herceptin and zometa Wed. I spent all Thur. sick at my stomach and vomitting, Today is Friday and I am still sick. I haveb't eaten anything my husband hasn't. He wants me to call my Ocolg. but I feel stange about it. I don't know if this is from cancer or treament. I took some of my chemo nausea meds but they came back up. Anyone ever have this from herceptin or zometa? And the stomach isn't usually one of the places breast cancer spreads too. patty H

Hi Patty -
Most likely you have a coincidental stomach bug or flu. If you are so sick that the anti-nausea drugs are not even touching it.
I have been taking Herceptin and Zometa every 3 weeks for 3 years and NEVER had the slightest queasy stomach in that time.
Normally I have my infusions around mid day and have lunch during the treament.
Slowly get back to solid food and try to get some Pedialite to get your electrolytes back to normal. Grated apple or applesauce is always the way I start back on food after a bout of vomiting (which are very rare!).

Feel better!
