What is the maximum use in a lifetime for each drug?

A/C:
Adriamycin? Cytoxan?

Taxane family:
Taxol? Taxotere? Abraxane?

FEC:
5 Fluorouracil (5FU)? Epirubicin? Cyclophosphamide?

Xeloda?

Navelbine?

Carboplatin?

Gemzar?

Doxil?

And is Cisplatin part of chemo for BC?

Can each hormonal blocker be administered more than once in a lifetime?

Femara
Aromasin
Faslodex
Arimidex
Tamoxifen
Evista
Fareston
Megace

Side note: did I miss any other chemos / hormonals for breast cancer?

Hi there, 8 years ago I asked my onc how long can one remain on chemo, he said 3 years, being Her+ we are an unmnown commodity as I have been on chemo non stop the whole time along with radiation. The answer to your question? Providing you had a result in the past, I know Navelbine can be used if you have had a break of 12 months. I have been on Xeloda twice for skin mets, I have had the Taxols but that doesn't mean that another strain of the drug can't be used, it is all trial and error and this site is the encyclopedia for Herceptin. By the way I was supposed to expire this lifetime in 2000, but I had another agenda. It use to be that you couldn't have the hormone blockers Aromatese and other drugs while on chemo but since then they have realised that using them in conjunction with chemo is a plus. Hope this helps.

hugs Lyn
