Has anyone considered curcumin found in curry or discussed it with their oncologists. It could be an intersting to use it more as a spice, but I am afraid of adding too many supplements, as they can also interfer with chemo.
Best,

Hi Barbara,

I answered this at least in part to Lisa's nutrician post.

Thanks, Al, for your reply. I'm cautious about supplements and appreciate your response. I just eat salad with organic olive oil, and grind flaxseed on my cereal. I also take calcium and a multiple vitamin. Although I am stage 4, heceptin alone has been working for me for a year, and I am afraid to try anything without my oncologist's approval. Just had an MRI on Thursday, which is negative, so I don't have to worry about that area for the next three months.
Again, thanks for your informative posts.

Hi, have noticed, just as a rule of thumb, that her-2 women who do tumeric regularly tend not to get the mets in the liver...hmmmmmm.... although they may eventually mets to OTHER sites.... I also feel when I use it, though not regularly, that I have more energy. Barbara, I would just caution you on the calcium...I know EVERY WHERE you look people are literally preaching it down our throats but there are several SERIOUS reasons NOT to be adding unnecessary FREE calcium to your body chemistry if you are her-2 positive. Please feel free to email me directly at GPOPP@Comcast.net for more specific data. REPLACE instead with a PURE magnesium...wow...you'll see the difference immediately...Best of luck, Gina
