If you would like to follow my BMT saga you can go to this website set up for the time I am in Seattle. There will be daily updates, I am sure Bob will be giving those soon enough, and not me. The nurse coordinator on the phone described it as "You will be feeling pretty punk." I can just imagine.......

Thanks so much for that, Lola.
What a wonderful website! I have bookmarked it and will visit from time to time. All very best wishes for your next big adventure. |
Dear Lola, thanks for the update, I'll be watching your progress through the web site...many hugs!

P.S.
For those of you who do not know - Lola has chemo induced leukemia and is going to have a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to try to cure it. She has a VERY RARE condition and as well is HER2 positive, so we are all watching this with great interest to see how she does. Or what adjustments they may make in the transplant routine to keep her breast cancer at bay. (She has to go off of Herceptin.) Lola was much more active on this board until this problem surfaced and the reason for her flagging red count was discovered to be this type of disease. |
Hi lola,
Just want to wish you well. I visited the website and hope that the message I tried to post worked, although I suspect it didn't. Keep in touch as best you can - we are thinking of you! AlaskaAngel |
