Over the centuries, the world has heard good news. Wars have been ended, diseases have been defeated and disaster has been averted. But no good news matches the good news of Christmas--announced by angels to a group of surprised shepherds:

"Behold I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." [Luke 2:10-11]

This is the great good news we celebrate--the declaration that God has come in human flesh, the baby born in Bethlehem's manger. The angels announced that He would be Savior, Christ and Lord.

As you celebrate Christmas, gather with friends and family, and enjoy the wonder of it all, keep this truth at the center--Christ has come, and He has come for you. That's the greatest good news of all.
