Hi everyone. I just wanted to share some good news. I just finished 6 months of weekly navalbine + herceptin for my bone mets (got chemo because of 4 pesky brain tumors that we "nuked" with localized radiation in April and they are now GONE). Also take arimidex and get zometa. Plan to continue on herceptin + zometa every 3 weeks for life, and also to keep taking arimidex.
MY 6 MONTH PET SCAN WAS CLEAN. Nothing lit up, so my husband and I were thrilled. (My PET scan in March 2004 was terrible; I had bone mets everywhere - neck, entire spine, skull, pelvis, ribs, sternum - everywhere!). The doctor said that dramatic of a response was unusual and looks good for the future. Just wanted to share my good news with all of you and tell you how much I appreciate being part of this group.
