and I know you had Navelbine, so am responding about this.

I finished my two months of Nav/Herceptin in Nov of '02. It took several months to notice, but to this day my nails are still peeling and breaking, splitting. No matter how I try to keep layers of polish on I can't get them to grow out.

They will crack/break way down on both sides. I have superglued to keep intact until they grow out past the break, but then they go again.

They peel in layers, leaving thinner and thinner nail beds.

Very frustrating. I have never had trouble like this before. ..........sigh......... I just work on accepting it, in the scheme of things.

Just wanted to share a 'me too' experience with you.

Maybe it is the navelbine. I would have thought the nails would have grown out by now and would not be affected. Oh well. It really is very frustrating and sometimes painful. I never knew I used my nails so much. :)
