mom is taking gemzar.navelbine. liver and brain mets. has chemo on fridays - 3 weeks on and 1 week off. did not have chemo yesterday but still a little nauseasous (SP) chemo side effect? sometimes not much of an appetite either. but she hasnt had chemo since last friday. normal?

The nausea thing is kind of individual. Everyone is different, and every treatment is different. I had weeks where I felt nothing, other weeks I couldn't eat for days. The biggest thing I did was allowed myself to feel how ever good or however bad. Ate when I could, didn't worry about it when I couldn't. Have her try popsicles, crackers, soup. Fluids are more important.
