i want a re test for her2 and wonder if anyone knows what that test involves?

My wife was found to be +2-+3 using IHC and is currently awaiting a response on a FISH test.
As far as I know a tissue sample (that was removed during surgery 10/03) was sent to an outside lab that does the FISH test. It seems that because of the cost involved there are only a few places that do this test. It is found to be much more reliable than the IHC.
