They give you a topical pain killer where they screw it onto your head. Afterwards they may give you 2 tylenol. The next morning you are back to normal.

I had it done twice on an outpatient basis. Would rather do Gamma Knife than most chemos that I read about.

Christine, thanks so much for posting. I do feel fortunate that I only have this one tumor so far. Knowing that others can pop up at any time is far more frightening. I am really apprehensive about the procedure but nothing I can do about it.
