Yesterday I checked with my Onc. He said Herceptin is either given WEEKLY or EVERY THREE WEEKS. I guess the half-life is 1 and 1/2 weeks.?. He said if there are no other physical reasons, that skipping a week just wasn't in the literature/study results to do. (That wasn't exactly what he said, but I'll leave it at that.LOL)

My onc said the same thing, as Lisa's onc did. Weekly or every 3 weeks.

I'm on weekly herceptin for up to 1 year ('til Aug '04). Going to Mexico on vacation with hubby for 1 week next month, thus missing my weekly date. Onc rescheduled for me on 3 week dosage just before my vacation. I'll resume weekly, thereafter.

This will be my first 3 week dosage. Anyone experienced both dosages? Feel any difference? Side effects? So far, I haven't gotten any side effects from herceptin.
