Hi there, I'm new to this place but am loving it. I read your message and thought I'd let you know that I am currently on both. I am on my 13th day of my first round of Xeloda and I get Herceptin infused every three weeks. They stopped my rads and put me on Xeloda because my IBC spread fromt he left side of my body to the nodes under right arm. Feel free to contact me. Or anyone else out there who can help with some of my questions. I am HER 2+ as well.

Hope,
Sorry to hear of your lung met dilema. Yes, you can take Xeloda & Herceptin together. I have been on this combo since mid Feb. for skin mets and getting results. I don't know if it's considered a "standard combo", but I think there several ladies that post on this board taking it.
I think UCLA, Jonsson Cancer Center, would be a good choice for 2nd opinion. Some of the docs there were involved in the initial clinical trials for Herceptin. Sounds like you need a plan of action soon that will relieve some stress & get you started on the road to NED. Sending prayers your way. Velva

Hope, I just read some of Paul's posts to Chandi (a few posts down), you might want to look at the articles. Indicates Xeloda & Herceptin might be antagonistic. I will continue them both since I'm getting good results. Best wishes. Velva
