Dear Lyn,
My initial surgery on the left breast was a modified radical mastectomy, with 5 lymph nodes removed. I had 2 primary tumors in that breast, one was a 4.6 to 8 cm mass which the pathlogist report later identified as actually being a 3.7 cm tumor, the rest was necrosis. The other primary was smaller, 2 cm. Needless to say we felt it in my best interests to just have the whole thing removed! I had a right simple mastectomy done after becoming NED on Herceptin. I've never had reconstructive surgery, but I still think some day I might, if I can stay disease free long enough to feel it's worth it. I don't know about chemo for Paget's, I'll do some digging and let you know what I find out. Maybe if you post the question at the top of the page some will have a quick response because it seems to me we had some discussion a while back about Paget's. Try typing it in the search field also and see what you get? I am hoping you get something going to reduce that mass, it must be unnerving! Love, Lolly |
