Velva,
I think at this point you should ask for a PET scan. If it's progression the areas will "light up", and if it's a benign condition like radiation fibrosis then it won't. My CT's have always noted an area in my lung/rib cage that was presumed to be radiation fibrosis, but it has always made me nervous as it gave me pains when I'd stretch or turn a certain way.I just had a PET due to suspicious lymph nodes in neck and right axilla, and while it confirmed the recurrence to nodes, the area I've been also wondering about didn't raise any red flags, so I was relieved. Talk to your onc about it, you have a right to have your fears addressed. Love, Lolly |
Lolly, I have been telling my onc. for two years that when I turn a certain way I get a terffic pain, kind of feels like a very thick rubber band squezzing everything in my lower r rib area, finally it is appearing on the ct as a band like appearence of fibrois (due to radiation to my chest area for a total of 13 weeks) I to was afraid of a mets. But thank God not.
