My daughters were 5 and 3 when my wife was first diagnosed. They are now 20 and 18.
Try to get your wife involved with this message board. We are extremely proud of the knowledge and compassion of these ladies (and men).

Phil,
I know 2 brain mets survivors, not breast cancer mets, but they are both doing well. One has been in remission since I was diagnosed with mets in 2001, the other for a year. I believe from the information that's been made available on this site and the shining example of Christine, Patty H., Patty Z. and now Mary T. that it is survivable, not an automatic death sentence. Don't despair, we all have the same fears. Keep us posted.
