I was on herceptin and navelbine for liver mets. It began shrinking quickly. After 3 months my tumor went from 4x6cm to less than 3cm. This was my only lession. After the 3 months the navelbine started causing my hands and feet to feel numb and tingly. The doctor said I could try another chemo, try only herceptin, or have a surgery called rfa, radio frequency ablation. I chose the surgery and have continued the herceptin. The surgery was in Oct and I have remained NED, no evidence of disease, since then. Don't give up hope. There are still a lot of options available for her.
