More good news from this year's ASCO meeting!
I was just skimming through the abstracts, found this one & had to share it with all of you here...
There's a bunch of info about the study design, etc, but I thought I'd cut to the best part:

TITLE: "Brain metastases from breast cancer: Survival by HER2 status in the trastuzumab era."
Abstract No: 779
Conclusions: In the trastuzumab era, women with brain metastases with HER2 overexpressing breast cancer have a significantly improved survival. Better systemic disease control with HER2-targeted therapy may account for the improved survival for patients with HER2 overexpressing brain metastases. Further gains would likely result from HER2-targeted therapy that can cross the blood-brain barrier.

Hope this info brings re-newed encouragement, courage, faith, support, optimism, hope & everything else to those of you that are battling & beating brain mets...and to all of us fighting & surviving.
We ARE the changing faces of breast cancer survival!
Keep the faith!
