Kirsten,
I am sorry you are having to go through this. I don't think the worrying ever goes away for any of us. My first recurrence was to my sternum. It was 2 1/2 years after my initial diagnosis and I was not on Herceptin at the time. My internist told me it was a pulled muscle, but my oncologist was more aggresive and had it checked out right away. FYI-even with the mets a chest x-ray and bone scan came back normal. The radiologist explained it was because of the type of cell distruction-some can't be seen with a regular x-ray or bone scan. My was seen on CT. I hope everything turns out ok, but have it checked out. You have to be a strong advocate for yourself. Jerri |
