We got some great news today...My wifes CEA marker came down from 157 (last number I had from early July) to 19.9 after about 6 weeks of gemzar/herceptin! I'm cautiously thrilled! Doc said it's to early to do scans but I've been so scared that it's so nice to finally have something concrete to be optimistic about. Thanks to all for your well wishes.
Best wishes, Eric |
That's great news. I had a good report today, too. The tumor in my chest has shrunk down to 1.8 x 3cm from 6.5 x 3.5 after 4 rounds of chemo. God Bless All. Love, Lu Ann

To heck with "cautiously"! We have to celebrate when we can. Toss off those clothes and run naked laughing through a nearby field full of flowers. Or maybe have a nice dinner.

Great news Eric! What is the CEA test? I usually get the CA 27 29, is that similar?

I'm not sure what it is but I believe it's considered a general marker rather than a breast cancer specific one.

Thank you. Well Wishes and Hugs, Christine |
