Anyone out there on Faslodex plus Herceptin. How are you going? Am currently on Arimidex plus Herceptin and looking for next therapy.......

Caroline, I have been on Faslodex since July, after having a first recurrence diagnosis. I was on Femara for a few months. We will find out next month as to whether Faslodex is working. If not, I'll move on to another meds. Will remain on Herceptin indefinitely.

Jojo -Thanks for that. Have been doing well on Arimidex up till now, but at last appointment onc said he thought slowdown in decrease of tumour markers would mean markers would start rising again in the Autumn (hate hate hate that kind of prediction - how does he know??). Want to explore my options. Have to decide between chemo and more hormonals. Hope you are doing really well on Faslodex.
Love to you xxxxx

Caroline,

In your case, is the tumor markers the ONLY test your onc is relying on? Can he physically monitor your tumors, like feeling & measuring them? What about scan tests?

Hang in there! Hugs

I have scans every 10 -12 months and monthly tumour markers. Don't really like all this monitoring as i feel really well no matter what the tests may say. I currently have bone mets principally to my spine but feel great - cycled 5 miles through the woods with the kids yesterday. I truly believe that its how you FEEL that counts, not what a test says. Sadly onc does not agree........hence all the tests! Are you monitored closely? How do you feel about it??
Love
