If one develops numbness in finger and feet, is this something that will go away once chemo has ended?

It took about 6 months for me to regain normal feeling in my feet and hands after I had my last Taxol treatment. I never knew to take B6 to help with it so maybe it won't take as long for you. I don't know if everyone totally regains all feeling but I did. Hope you feel better soon. Take Care, Linda

I take 100 mgs. a day. Was told never to take more then 150 mgs. a day. I don't know if it helps or not I still have lots of burning and pain in both hands and feet. I also take glutamine powder. As far as getting rid of all the numbness etc. after treatment I have heard some do and some don't. It is neuropathy and I think it depends on how many taxol treatments we get and how often we are in and out of treatments. I expect mine to be permanent considering I have had taxol for 3 recurrences of skin mets. Hugs, Sandy

Celina, I am on Xeloda and was told by my onc. to take 100mgs a day to prevent hand and foot syndrome. I only take it when I am on Xeloda, but I probably should take it all the time. I have mild neuropathy but my onc. never told me it was for that.

I do take B-6 200MG a day to protect my heart muscle, and help the periforal neuopathy I have left in my toes. It has improved, but takes alot of TLC.
Hugs
