Mary, thanks so much for your encouraging post. Thank God you had the sense to seek a second opinion. How could he have been so wrong???

Colleen, my sister had "too many to count"/"clusters of tumors". They were all pretty small 1 - 4 mm in size. She was most certainly symtomatic - blurred vision, slurred speech, headaches, difficulty walking. She had 5 WBR sessions and, though it took 3 months, her symptoms are ALL gone (some vision problems remain and may be permanent). Her tumors have shrunk and many have disappeared. Christine has mentioned a view times, as have sis's doctor, that it can take many months for the WBR to completely work - maybe 9 months. Good luck to her mother...she WILL improve.

I have a question re blurry vision and brain mets. Is the vision blurry all the time or can that come and go? Also, how about double vision--can that also come and go with brain mets or would it be there all the time. I have the same ? re dizziness.

Kaye,
I don't have the answers you're looking for. I can only tell about my sis's case. She was experiencing what she described as a "hazzy fog" beginning at a distance of about 10 feet. It didn't come and go...was a fairly permanent vision problem. Thankfully, WBR has taken care of it. She still has difficulty seeing far away...will eventually get glasses (she had perfect 20/20 vision prior).
