Hi again. I went to Genentech and found that I was looking at the wrong web site. I found some data from the Phase III trial but nothing that was real indepth.

I went to Genentech BioOncology and found a short blurb that states:
Herceptin offers clinicians and their patients many important benefits. In the pivotal Phase III clinical trial, Herceptin was administered at least until disease progression. Herceptin plus chemo resulted in:
-longer survival
-Median survival improved to 22.1 months for paient receiving Taxol + Herc. (vs. 18.4 mths for Taxol alone)
-Median survial improved improved to 25.1 months for patients receiving chemo + Herc. (vs. 20.3 months for chemo alone)
-Significantly increased response rates:
-38% response rate for patients receiving Taxol + Herc. (vs. 15% for Taxol alone)
-45% response rate for patients receiving chemo + Herc. (vs. 29% for chemo alone)
*Clinical trial results in patients not previously treated for metastatic disease. Patients recvd. chemo alone (either doxorubicin or epirubicin plus cyclophosphamide, or paxitaxel)

I guess for me it just raises more questions. The study was conducted w/ 469 patients and 92 got Taxol and Herc. It seems to me to be a small study compared to the one I am on that has I think like over 1,000.
They did however list a phone number to ask about info on trials and results of trials. I am going to call them about mine tomorrow and if I find out anything I will post it. Phone from 6am to 4pm is 888-662-6728. Ca time. The site www.biooncology.com/bioonc/p_h.jsp

Also I would like to NOTE that this group of women (even though we are a small % of whats out there) have shown that Her2 can become NED and that everyone out there does not reoccur. Like I said the study did not list everyting I would like to know, but at least it was finally something? Take Care k
