Is it okay to have Juverderm or botox while on Herceptin
 

Does anyone know if it's safe to have botox or Juverderm?
Has anyone tried it while on herceptin? I'm thinking of having some pampering for Christmas.
My oncologist said he thought it would be okay and that it wouldn't interfere with the herceptins performance but wasn't sure how herceptin would affect the juverderm or botox

I'm sorry you didn't get an answer to this. I used botox regularly before I got cancer (started out for headaches but liked the way it looked). Then I got some juvederm. I would like to do it again, especially since cancer has truly aged me. But I'm not sure. The juvederm - that should stay in place where you put it, and not absorb through your body - same with botox. So, it seems like it should be safe.

I waited until my treatment was over, not being able to get an answer, then ended up Stage IV. So now treatment will never be over, and I guess I'm not supposed to care if I look old anymore.

But, I do. :)

Oh isn't that the truth about cancer treatment, how we look is so affected. Hair, skin, etc. etc.

I want to what you decided to do & how it turned out.
