Chemo to radation

I end chemo on 11-19-2010. I currently have expanders in place. They are very unconfortable, heavy, and they are causing a lot of pain and pulling on the sides of my chest not to mention they feel like rocks. I have tenatively decided to go ahead w/implant surgery before radation. So the plan is implants 3 weeks after chemo and 2-3 weeks after that for radation..which means it will be recieved within 6 weeks from last chemo treatment.
Just wondering if you very helpful women can let me know how long you waited for radation after chemo?
What decsion did you girls make?
Thanks,
Joletta

Re: Chemo to radation

My last chemo was Dec. 17 and my first radiation was Feb 15, so about 8 weeks for me. I had a mastectomy after chemo in Jan. and then waited 4 weeks before we started radiation. Hope that helps~

Re: Chemo to radation

I was four weeks after rads, but "just" had a lumpectomy rather than a mast with recon.
