Breast cancer her2 positive lung metases
 

Hi All, my mother is suffering from breast cancer and she is having her2 positive. Please see the below treatment details.
April 2012 surgery of breast.
June 2012 chemo started-epirubicin 4 cycles.
August 2012 docetaxel- 4 cycles + herceptin
November 2012 radiation therapy.
May 2013- 13 cycles of herceptin completed
June 2013 detected skin metases near shoulder blade.
July 2013-oral chemotherapy started lapatinib+capacetabine continued till July 2014.
July 2014- had skin ulceration at operated area, biopsy revealed carcinoma.
Pet scan detected lung nodules(metases).

We are from India.
We searched in Google and got Tdm1 as possible treatment and not available in India.
Please suggest the best treatment options. Our oncologist suggested ixempra + herceptin.
Please help us getting the possible best treatment available.
Please help us in the fight against cancer.

I'm very glad that you have found this site, as you'll find much information and support here. I don't have experience with Ixempra, however, I developed lung mets nearly 7 years ago, and Abraxane was very helpful in getting them under control. I would recommend your mother definitely continue with Herceptin. Please keep in touch.
