Adriana Mangus has her wings
 

Dear Group,

I have learned that our dear Adriana passed away this morning, March 2, 2015. Her last posts were looking for help with her eating difficulties after whole brain rads. So sorry she could not overcome her latest setbacks.

She was a fixture on this site for so long, fighting, achieving NED, fighting again, and always finding time to travel with her family and live her dreams.

Her treatment history was very long, yet she provided helpful information and support unselfishly.

Adriana along with her daughter and husband came to Seattle to catch a cruise to Alaska. On the way back we were able to meet and spend an afternoon together. I will always remember her walking on the beach at Golden Gardens on a spectacularly sunny day here.

Thanks for updating us, Steph. I am just sick at this news. Adriana and I go way back, she was one of the first to reach out to me and I am so sad that she is gone. (I sent a note to her daughter just now thru FB).

I say it every time, I f'in hate this disease...so sad another fabulous woman is gone.

This is a terrible shock. Adriana was such a fighter that I came to believe she would always recover. She helped me several times. I feel so sad. Too many angels.
My thoughts go to her family.

Adriana was such a strong, thoughtful and giving person who courageously faced this monster every step of the way. She is a great loss to our community and will be greatly missed.

I so adored Adriana -- for decades it seems. We've e'd and PMd and played on FB. We confided and shared and I just always loved her positivity. Through her husband's illness, through her own. A vibrant and beautiful lady, a blessed Soul.

I miss her already.

Still, I'm shocked to read this. Stunned. It was so very sudden.

Thanks for posting this, Steph. I knew she had posted a little while ago that her docs had run out of options for her, but I was hoping, like everyone else, she'd be able to stay with us longer.

She fought and fought and fought for years. I'm with Rhondalea ... the rest of what I'm thinking would be words I don't like to use.

I am so sorry doesn't even begin to cover it.

This is very sad. She was always there. She is missed. I offer my deepest sympathy to her loved ones.
