Ca27.29#s and NED at stage IV
Stage IV ladies,
For those of you lucky few who have become NED after a stage IV diagnosis, what were your Ca27.29 values before and after you became NED? Thanks! |

Mine was 50 when I was diagnosed with liver mets. I have been NED for 17 months and during this time mine fluctuates between 9 and 17.

Re: Ca27.29#s and NED at stage IV
Thanks ladies- I guess I was hoping that there were some out there like me. My tumor marker is in a semi-stable or very gradual rise, sitting right around 120. I read way too much into that damn number, I feel great! I go jogging, I sew, I cook, I have a totally normal life (despite taking ibuprofen due to femara aches and pains)- why am I so obsessed with seeing that number drop. Sometimes I wish he wouldn't tell me what that God-damned number is.
Thanks Ladies. |
Re: Ca27.29#s and NED at stage IV
At liver mets diagnosis CA 27-29 was 57. I began treatment and it went up as far as over 100 before coming back down into normal range.
Since meeting up with NED that number has been between 17 and 23 normally, with an occasional spike into high 20's that goes right back down. Have you ever had the HER2 serum Elisa checked? Mine goes between 7 and 10. Can't explain why you have a higher than normal range number. |
