I had hip flap done 2+ years ago and I love my new girls. I tried implants which failed for me and if I had known free flaps where an option from the beginning I would have done that.

Just thought I would bump this up in hopes for more responses.

My implants have not worked out either so now I just need them out! The mold has always been very uncomfortable! This is the end of the line for me and reconstruction. I am so tired of it all. I wish I was told about the flaps also I never would have had to go through all this so late. ( I was so scared I just did what everyone wanted me to do no questions asked. No sense comlaining now.)

I'm so glad your happy with yours! I hope to be also.

I also had failed attempt at implants. Love the "new girls" as well - could not be happier! Good luck to you!

Thank you for your responses! I looking at this surgery as my last hope. It's great to hear positive outcomes. The three dr's doing are trying to work out their schedules to have the same day for it I should hear this week. Its looking like Oct. right now. What a long wait! Just trying to keep myself busy til then.
