A Special Mothers Day
1 Attachment(s)
Yesterday, my sisters and I went to visit my Kindergarten teacher, who is in a nursing home....she is 101, has the most beautiful soft skin, and more love for people that I can imagine 1 person having....we have kept close contact over the years, we took her a bouquet of hand picked Lily of the Valley (from my sisters house) and a card. She is so sharp...remembers everyone she taught. I was her 1st Kindergarten Class in 1957....I still carry her picture from that year in my wallet. She truly Mothered many children over her years as a teacher.....a special woman who forever holds a place in my heart.

Sheila,
How thoughtful of you to remember this wonderful woman. Not many people are lucky enough to have this beautiful experience. You are both very special ladies. Hugs, Jean |

I find it amazing that you have keep in touch with her all these years. How very kind of you. I was a preschool teacher before bc and can certainly understand how wonderful it is when a student remembers you.

Sheila, I am always amazed at the warmth and fullness in your life, think I would be used to it by now. You are the same blessing to her life too you know. She looks beautiful for 101!! I am praying that she rubbed off some more on you yesterday and respread her loving healing ways. Wow>>Believe51

Sheila,
Chinese like to be around old people - especially those who are over 100 - I guess we feel like we can rub off their sleeves and get some good luck (blessings)from them. You definitely are blessed. |
