Hi everyone
So during the absence of our beloved site, Leah and I created a Facebook Group for us to have as a back-up or as an option. It is a closed group so you must ask to join. To find our group on Facebook, simply search for Her2support

Sites go down all the time for a variety of reasons, so this additional venue to continue the communication and support is a good thing to have.

I've got a question about the website on Facebook. If I post something in the HER 2 newsfeed, does it appear on my Facebook page? I just clicked on Leah's name and it took me to her Facebook page....... So, I'm wondering...... I have former students as friends on Facebook, and they do not know I'm a breast cancer survivor, and I want to keep it that way. Thanks for responding.... if anyone knows.

Helen as far as I understand it, as a "closed" group no one other than other members can see your posts. When you clicked on my name it took you to my page because we are both members. But I know that my mom can't see what I post on the fb page.

Helen,
The group is closed so all content in terms of posts stays within the group. However if you click on a member's name, they will see your Facebook page as you have set it up for public use. So for example, if you click onine, you probably will only see my name and maybe my profile pic.

The facebook was such a great idea. I am not sure if I was able to join the facebook group. I clicked on the button-join group.

As soon as Paola or I see someone asks to be added to the fb group we add them. We don't know who everyone's real name is but if you clicked add i am sure you were added!

There already was a Facebook page set up by some of the members but not sure if its closed now, I'll have a search later on.
