Neuropathy in feet

Are paraffin baths ok to use for neuropathy? I knew the answer to this once, can't remember now. LOL

I don't see how it could hurt. Shoot anything that helps them feel better! My husband massages my feet and legs and that seems to help somewhat.

My gut is that it's fine for the feet but not for dealing with neuropathy in hands when lymph nodes are removed from that extremity. I would think that heat would increase risk for lymphedema like saunas and jacuzzis do.

Paraffin is a superficial heating agent, though it won't make neuropathy worse it acts more on muscles and joints. But try anything you can to get relief.

Yes, but be careful with the temperature....with neuropathy, the ability to feel temperature may be lessened so that you may not be able to feel when it is too hot.
