supplements and herceptin
 

Another question for the experts!! I have been taking Ubiquinol. Omega 3s and vitamin D the past month in an attempt to raise my EF, which they did. I had my re-loading of herceptin yesterday after a 6 week wash-out and just wanted to know whether you guys know if it's safe to continue taking the above whilst on herceptin. I asked my onc and he was quite vague, all he said is " I don't think they will interfere with the herceptin pathway", whatever that means, so I'm not sure really.

I believe they are safe... I continue on them while I am on TDM1 (which is Herceptin w/ a chemo) and my doctor has no issues at all... he wants me to continue my plan that keeps my left ventricle strong while on Herceptin, and CoQ10 and Omega 3 is integral to that. Also, my cancer specific Naturopath has had me on it with Herceptin, so I believe there is not any contraindication.

I took my supplements when on Herceptin alone.
