Has anyone skipped last TCPH treatment?

I have been having a real rough time with the chemo, especially the last two treatments. My vision is messed up (and was told that may be permanent) and I have facial twitches, I am also getting neuropathy pain in my arms/hands feet regularly. (I get a lot of SE,but these are the worst)
When I saw the breast surgeon AND the oncologist, neither could feel any of the tumor at all (originally was 2 cm) and they are both pretty positive that it never ended up in the nodes to begin with based on the MRI and their palpitations. I was going to go with lumpectomy/radiation based on this info, but am so dreading anymore chemo and the SE.
Has anyone skipped a TCPH treatment without having any repercussions? Are you still NED?
I so appreciate the feedback.

My wife's 6th taxotere treatment was cancelled due to neuropathy. I think it all depends on what dose you get.

My onco cancelled my last two TcH b/c of a "pathological complete response" which was confirmed with surgery. Still NED.

Update! I saw the Onc and due to the neuropathy SE, I am skipping the last chemo; although, I will still get the perjeta and Herceptin on Dec. 1. My lumpectomy is scheduled for the 2nd (along with node biopsy. See the radiologist on Dec. 11 to get that part started. Of course the herceptin will continue as well.
I am just happy at least the chemo part is over. Now for the next step! AND I will be able to have a good Thanksgiving and feel up to Black Friday!

I had a/c first then taxol weekly with herceptin & perjeta every 3 weeks x 4. I gotwverythj h but the last 5 out if 12 taxol treatments due to a horrible side effects. I just had my double mx and left side auxiliary node dissection. Even though I missed the last 5 taxol treatments I had a complete pathologic response! Praise God. I'm choosing no rads and moving forward with reconstruction. I think it just depends on how you respond. I had already had an untrasound and my nodes appeared clear and my tumor was shrinking by the time surgery came it was gone. I still have some neuropathy side effects. My side effects could have become permanent and my oncologist wasn't comfortable continuing. I did finish all my perjeta and will continue herceptin for the next 9 months. Good luck to you.

LaDonna,
My oncologist recommended skipping the last dose of chemo so I had 5 out of 6. The neuropathy symptoms became constant in my fingers and feet, I was having lots of twitching in my face and eyes and some occasional involuntary drooling. The neuropathy symptoms are now only nominal in my feet and the rest cleared up. I too have had some negative changes in my vision which the eye specialist said he sees in a lot of cancer patients. Still, all these things plus dental repercussions have been worth it. I was diagnosed 12/10 and am still happily NED. I wish you the very best, LaDonna. How is it going now?

Paula,
I had my lumpectomy on Dec 2 and had complete response! I am NED! Love my new name! I see the radiologist in a couple days to start that part of my 'insurance policy' and my first Herceptin only is Dec 22.
I am on cloud nine with my surgery pathology report. Merry Christmas! I still have neuropathy issues, but then I had them minimally before from carpal/cubital tunnel problems. I am just happy to be NED. I am going to talk to my GP about removing my ovaries since I don't have the other parts from a partial hysterectomy. I keep reading about high ER+ people having relapses. I am just so happy I am NED. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
