Re: Here is my story
Nice blog. You had surgery on Valentine's Day? A little weird, but on the other hand it makes a great day to celebrate every year as a survivor.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

My pathology report in 2007 was also a stage IIB. So far so good (breast cancer-wise.)

Be sure to eat well and walk everyday (a 30-minute walk does wonders!)

Sending you good vibes.

Re: Here is my story
Thank you ladies. Yes 'lizbeth I had surgery on Valentines Day. I am NOT a girly girl & never liked (or celebrated) Valentines Day, but I will now. Thank you Jackie07 for the advice :)

Your new picture on your blog looks wonderful!

You ought to use it as your Avatar.

To do so, click on FAQ on the maroon bar on top. Then click on 'User Profile features' before choosing the fourth one 'Signatures, Avatars and Profile Pictures'. And then click on the link at the bottom: 'Edit Avatar'.

Then upload the picture from your computer file.

Re: Here is my story
Here I am it is 4 in the morning and of course the anxiety voice starts going off. All the unknown about my upcoming chemo. Well I go on the computer, since I can't sleep anyway and I happen to see your blog. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a positive person but with all that comes your way with cancer it's not always easy to be the optimistic person. I was diagnosed in December 2012 also and it has been a world wind since then. I had my surgery on Feb 28th, my lymph nodes were clean so no radiation for me :) I also have a tissue expander, not the most comfortable thing. Last week I meet with my oncologist for the first time and he said chemo and herceptin. Said my HER2 came back high:( I start chemo April 10th. I went to the wig shop the other day to play with some wigs..I also want some kind of control in this so I too will be shaving my head before my hair falls out, as will my husband;) Anyway I want to thank you again for sharing your story it has really helped me to keep going this morning and stay positive.

Re: Here is my story
Thanks for sharing the blog. I am on chemo presently prior to my lumpectomy. Anxiety resounds with me, I thought I was going crazy waiting for treatment to begin. Now post 2 chemo treatments my anxiety has gone into the background. I only take my xanax to counter act the decadron steroid affect and sleep on the day before and the day of chemo. Also the antinausea works for helping me sleep post chemo.

I shaved my head 2 weeks ago. I let my hair start falling out on its own. First got my hair cut short and then went to the next step. Actually felt good to shave it because was a little itchy by then. I made an event out of it at the hair salon. Took champagne and both my wigs and let my stylist cut them a little till I felt pretty. For me hair loss has not been that big of a deal but we are all individuals. I just hope it doesn't come back grey but by the time it does I guess I will be ready to see it!
