What day is today? My fav! Today!!
WHAT DAY IS IT? MY FAVORITE. IT'S TODAY!
Phew! Still stable. Since '99. (Orig dx '95, recurred '98.) No Herceptin available till 1 mnth after my recurrence. If I had had it, maybe I'd never have recurred. 4th stage, lobular + 2 out of 21 lymph nodes to start with. On Vitamin H for 10 years..........!! OFF OF VITAMIN H for 6 YEARS! And, with humble appreciation, I am still stable -- 15 years. I offer myself up as inspiration to all my Sisters. I waited for my June CTs, my June full blood work up and my mammo/US today. ALL GOOD. EXCELLENT in fact. THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE. EVERY DAY IS MY FAVORITE DAY. Sending my love and healing energy to you all! Andi |

Re: What day is today? My fav! Today!!
Dear Andi -
Whoo Hoo! I would call your situation "NED/complete remission" since I still associate "stable" with some residual disease or spots that can't be confirmed one way or another! Regardless of the lovely, positive remarks from the gals here, I KNOW, along with you, that we are never completely "out of the cancer woods." The trees make shadows in the night, and we have to check those shadows out periodically. I like to think I have one foot firmly on the throat of my cancer, keeping it permanantly DOWN. |

Andi,
Thank you for posting. Great news on your latest studies. Love, Adriana |
Re: What day is today? My fav! Today!!
In April of '99 (after about 9 mnths of Taxotere, to which Vitamin H was added 2 mnths in -- newly available, thank you FDA and of course Dr. Slamon!!) -- 2 of the oncologists I collected decided what they were looking at weren't shrunken tumors as 1 Imaging Center stated. They appeared to be the dead remains of tumors, cyst-like, filled w/fluid.
And what does that mean??!!, I asked. I guess we could say, You are in cautious remission... After that all has been STABLE. And I have grown to love and embrace that. Of course, I keep one eye open at all times, but when the fear wells up I immediately go to -- STRONG, BRAVE AND DETERMINED. HEALTHY AND WELL. NO MORE CANCER. You KNOW I believe in the power of our thoughts and mental images. I make my Expectation and Intention clear to my body and to the Universe. I do this several times a day, or as often as a scary sense comes over me. I hear you, Steph. Still sticking with my dozens of supplements, meditation, mantras, guided imagery (seeing myself far, far into the future) and lots of hugs and love!! I recommend this highly. Be well, my Sisters. Thank you for your kind posts. Love and Light, Andi |
