I have been getting spam on my home account for more than a month. Suspected it was our site, now it is confirmed. Can this be taken care of?

Hi girls -
Those reported posts are gone and the spammer is "banned." Anyway, that is all I can do. Joe may have had a way behind the scene to do more than that.

We have had a lot os spam lately, and most is from one source, but others are cropping up here and there.

DO NOT CLICK ON ANY SUSPECT LINKS.

I get a small amount of spam, but I don't think it comes through this site, but from messages sent to our business or the inadvertant spam sent through someone's address book.

Donna - do you subscribe to notifications from this site? I do not.

Also, everyone should LOG OUT when leaving the site. Then LOG IN the next time.

Please let us know if changing your setting so you don't get notifications makes any difference in your spam level.

I just got a spam from porno movies to watch? Is that

I think I've just got 'PHISHed' from the phone call I received a while ago. The lady said she's doing a marketing research and asked me for all types of questions including home ownership and which age group we belong to.

Then she asked me which credit card we use and the expiration date. I got caught off guard and gave her the year...

Just don't understand (since I was little) why there are 'bad' people who would try to do people harm. Then my Mother would say it's because I was not hungry enough ...

Realized now my Mother's the one who taught me empathy...

Update 6-01
Called the credit card company and they are going to issue me a new card. Will have to contact all the automatic payment arrangement... 'sigh...'

Sad that these people have nothing better to do but disrupt sites like this. I receive spam in my emails as well but dont think they have any connection to this board. Just a sign of the times.

Steph do you barr their IP address or just name and e mail address??? With the latter they can continue to log in with a new address and name but I'm sure you know this and thanks!
