Caryn update - might need extra prayers
 

Hi all,
Caryn's nausea has been acting up again this past week and we were hoping that it was from her pancreatitis and not the tumors in her liver starting to grow again. Well, both her tumor markers came down from:
483 to 368
and 183 to 146;
but her bilirubin went from 5.3 to 8.2!!!
Considering that we were thrilled that it came down from 12.0 (where her liver was failing) to 5.3 in five weeks (normal is around 1.0), this is a scary jump.
Her Onc tried to minimize it by saying that liver functions tend to "wax and wane" but since we haven't seen that previously I'm scared that the cancer is acting up. Hope you don't mind but we need to pick up steam on the miracle train so please put in some extra strong prayers .

Seems like Caryn had some major bili reductions over a relatively short period. Could be irritation of the liver as things get rearranged. I'm hoping onc is right.
